About Me

Educational History:

I graduated from Mercer Island High School in Seattle, Washington and went on to study at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Degrees and Certifications:

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Research and Theory

Current Position:

I have been working for Cleveland ISD at CMS since 2018 and currently teach Texas History. I will be teaching 7th grade Reading next year.

Previous Position:

Before teaching I was a Project Manager for Microsoft and managed a team in the Technical Specialist Academy, a training academy with online classes for Microsoft employees to learn about their newest emerging technologies.

Prior to that I had fun working for the NBA’s Seattle SuperSonics in their marketing department facilitating programs like High 5 for Kids and Honorary Captains which bring kids and players together for some excitement on game night. I have  travelled around this world a bit and collected a lot of experiences from people I’ve met, places I’ve visited and from seeing different customs and ways of thinking. I have lived overseas in Berlin, Germany, Barcelona, Spain and Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Family Information:

I have a beautifully awesome daughter who is entering high school this year.

Personal Information:

I love to ski on snow and water and grew up doing both, but I am a beach bum at heart.  I am a music lover and like to search for new songs and artist or old songs too.  My hobbies include working out, meditation, tai chi, skiing, traveling, cooking and just sitting in my backyard enjoying friends. I also LOVE to read.
