I graduated high school from Frazee-Vergas High School in Frazee, MN.
I attended North Dakota State College of Science. I then attended Bemidji State University to complete my degree.
After high school I attended North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND. I earned my A.A. degree in Pre-Education.
I went on to attend Bemidji State University in Bemidji, MN where I earned my BS in Elementary Education with minors in Reading and Early Childhood.
My certification in Generalist 4-8, ESL and Gifted and Talented.
I started teaching at Cleveland ISD in 2014. I have taught 6th and 8th Reading. I started at Eastside Elementary. I am currently teaching 8th grade Reading.
I started teaching in New Caney ISD in 2001, where I taught 5th grade ELAR, Social Studies and Math.
I left New Caney and taught at Sheldon ISD for 5 years, where I taught 4th and 5th grade ELAR, Math, Science and Social Studies.
I have been married to my wife since 2003. She is born and raised in Texas. We have one son named Sam. He is in loves to draw and practice his karate.
We have three dogs. A chiweenie, a toy fox terrier and a Olde English Bulldog, who thinks she is a lap dog.
I come from a family of teachers ranging from kindergarten to high school. Both my parents are retired teachers, my brothers are both teachers who married teachers, and my wife is NOT a teacher. I did meet her through her sister who is a teacher.
Outside of teaching I coach and play on a men’s sofball team. My family is also involved with many things at our church. I work with the high school kids with teaching Sunday School and going on mission trips with the kids. I love to travel. I have been to 45 states.
