I graduated from University of Houston Downtown in 2003.
I recieved a Bachelor of Science, Interdisciplinary Studies. I am certified to teach early childhood through 8th grade.
I attended Professional Development for STEM through Rice University from 2008-2011.
I also attended training through the National Writing Project and presented at the Educator workshop at SHSU.
I began my career in education as a paraprofessional in 1998, in Cy Fair ISD. I worked at Langham Creek High School as a para, all while completeing my college educatiuon. I also gained some Early Childhood experience with 2 years at Head Start, before accepting a position at Eastside to teach 4th grade. I stayed at Eastside for 12 years, teaching 4th and 5th grade. 2018-2019 was my first year of teaching at the Middle School level. This is my 14th year techimg for Cleveland ISD.
I am the the mother of 2 awesome kids and 4 amazing step-kids.. My son, a 2015 graduate of Tarkington High School, currently serves in the Navy. He and his wife are based in Everett, Washington. My daughter is a freshman at Tarkington High School this year. She keeps me very busy with Cross Country, Dance and Drama. My husband, a fellow educator, teaches Aquatic Science and is the head Men’s Soccer Coach in Willis ISD.
My favorite hobbies are reading, being goofy and hanging out with my husband and daughter.
