I graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in Montgomery, Alabama before starting my college career at Auburn University at Montgomery. During my sophomore year, our family moved to Dallas, Texas where I continued taking classes at the local community college. After meeting and marrying my husband Jeff, I put my education on hold as I began raising our family. As our children got older, I decided to return to college, and completed my undergraduate degree at Sam Houston State Univerity in 2005 with a major in Academic Studies and a minor in Mathematics.
In December of 2009 I earned my Masters of Education from SHSU with a minor in Mathematics. In 2012 I had the opportunity to expand my education by taking certification classes to earn my Master Mathematics Teacher (4-8) certification. I am fully committed to being a life long learner and I hope to instill the passion for learning to my students!

This is my first year in Cleveland ISD and I will be teaching 8th grade Math. I am so excited to be a part of the CMS and CISD Indian family!
Before coming to CISD, I taught Math at Tomball Junior High in Tomball, TX. Over the past fourteen years, I have taught every math course offered including: Algebra I, 8th grade on-level, 7th grade on-level and PAP, and Math Lab for 7th and 8th grades.
Prior to teaching Junior High, I taught preschool for fourteen years when my children were young!
My husband Jeff and I have been married for thirty-seven years! We have three adult children – Andrew, Emilea and Haley. I have one fur-baby – a dog named Biscuit!
When I’m not teaching, I love to travel – especially cruising! This summer, my mother and I celebrated her 89th birthday on a carribean cruise. At the end of the summer, my husband and I took an Alaskan cruise which gave us the opportunity to hike a mountain trail and return by raft!
I am a HUGE Auburn University football fan!! Jeff and I try to attend one Auburn (away) game each year.
I also like to garden, crochet and play logic games such as Suduko.
